Bristol Motor Speedway UARA Race…...Payne blows engine after setting Pole |
|
Payne Pickles Racing began just three short years ago, with a $250.00 kart and a lot of hard work and determination. My racing career began in 2004 at a local track were I was voted the most improved driver that year, that was a great year with 15 wins and 23 top five finishes. In 2004 and 2005 we raced all over the country from North Florida to New York on dirt and asphalt, WKA, FKA and AKRA. At the end of the 2005 season I was invited to race for the Jr. Big Dog Championship and guess what we won, we won a lot of Races and Championships along the way, I may have been the driver but I know that none of this would have been possible if I hadn’t been for the love and support that I received from my Mom & Dad. They have always been my biggest fans and have told me numerous times that if racing was really my dream to go for it and they would figure out a way to keep me on the track. After the 2005 season I really felt that I was ready to move up to the Stock Car racing Level, but we didn’t know where to begin or even who to talk to about the cost involved in racing a stock car. We were told that that if I ever wanted to make it to NASCAR that North Carolina was where we needed to be. On August 19, 2006, at Concord Motorsport Park I had my first Test Day, and now race weekly at this same track in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series. Racing is not only a dream it’s in my blood.
